Coco Wedding Venues - Unique London Wedding Venues That You Need to Know About

We’ve long been fans of Rewritten, following their business journey through our Suppliers We Love section, stalking them on socials, and of course seeing their beautiful designs regularly pop up on our real wedding features. So when they got in touch and suggested a ‘blog-swap’ it was a no brainer. We’ve no doubt Rewritten’s customers have browsed our site on their venue hunt and vice versa – they’re basically the same beautiful people – discerning, modern and unequivocally style-conscious.
With that in mind we’ve delved into our Directory to bring you a selection of London venues, cherry-picked with those very couples in mind. These are venues that you might not have heard of (yet!), but if you’re currently hunting for that special one (the other one!), you’ll be glad you stopped by…
Battersea Arts Centre
BAC is home to a number of exceptional events spaces, but it is their RIBA Building of the Year award-winning Grand Hall which is the true jewel in their crown. Scarred, textured walls contrast with a modern plywood lattice ceiling to create a room that is equal parts impressive and awe-inspiring – far from the rambling Victorian town hall that it once was.
As well as hosting weddings and events of all sizes, Battersea Arts Centre has provided a unique backdrop to a roster of famous faces such as Fleetwood Mac, The Jam and Nick Cave over the years. So, if you’re looking for a large, energetic venue that has oodles of character and design-genius in abundance, well, this is the one folks!

The Bull & Gate
There’s no denying pub weddings are having a bit of a moment. Located in Kentish Town, The Bull & Gate is the perfect backdrop for your cool, casual, laidback wedding celebrations. Move between their versatile spaces with ease – from the dining room for feasting with friends, to their decadent Boulogne Bar for expertly crafted cocktails. This is one awesome wedding space that you can make your own and is a brilliant North London public house, perfect for a good ol’ knees up!

The London Rowing Club
While steeped in history and character, this prestigious clubhouse sitting on the banks of the Thames is far from being a museum piece. In fact it’s the open fires, original features and furnishings that give this venue its quintessential, English charm.
You'll find us swooning over the Long Room which has a bright and airy interior, neutral palette and French doors leading onto a balcony. Is there anything more soul quenching and romantic than toasting your big day and watching the sun set on the water’s edge with all your best ones? Nope, didn't think so!
The Orangery in Holland Park
Everyone loves an orangery, don’t they? Renowned for being able to transport you to far flung, exotic destinations through a heady mix of natural light, breezy spaces, and beautiful botanicals. The Orangery in Holland Park is a particularly magical space with a fabulous and decadent history, whilst also being nestled in one of London’s most picturesque parks.
Sounds pretty delightful, no?
The White Horse
Another brilliant pub venue but this time located smack bang in the middle of the Square Mile. Choose from one of their gorgeous spaces for intimate gatherings or why not hire the whole venue and have the run of the place for your big day? This informally formal setting has a heated and covered terrace, tonnes of comfy seating, and fun eclectic décor.
For the laid back yet style-conscious couple, a more relaxed and informal setting such as The White Horse may be right up your street. But don’t worry it’s not all pies and pints, they know how to throw an awesome party too!

100 Barrington
A personal fave of ours, 100 Barrington’s 2000 sq ft venue space encompasses several railway arches and a private terrace, situated moments away from vibrant Brixton Village. This is not your typical venue but an industrial-style events space complete with Victorian features – basically it’s one of the coolest and most exciting venues in London! Whether that’s for a wedding, a photoshoot, or an exclusive private party.
They provide you with a completely blank canvas - bar their incredible mother of pearl chandelier which is honestly to die for! So if you’ve always dreamt of curating your own DIY wedding then defo look up 100 Barrington.

Museum of London Docklands
From one industrial wedding venue to another, the Museum of London Docklands is housed in a 200-year-old former sugar, coffee, and rum warehouse on West India Quay - hence the aptly named Muscovado Hall and Rum Store reception rooms. In this stunning (and super spacious) venue, contemporary décor complements original Caribbean pine columns and floors providing couples with several striking spaces within which to put their stamp on the place and celebrate in style.
For couples searching for a unique riverside venue in Central London, with character, originality, and a cool, industrial vibe… look no further!
