Top tips for Mother of the bride

Top tips for Mother of the bride

Planning a wedding can be a fun game of multi-tasking, and we know the last thing you need is for your Mum to be asking you for help with what she can wear to your wedding. Searching for Mother of the bride outfits doesn't need to be a chore, (but we know that sometimes it can be) so we wanted to help by sharing some tips and inspiration for those amazing Mums looking for a wedding day outfit.

BEND THE RULES

Traditionally, the Mother of the bride would wear a colour that compliments the bridal party, but you should know by now that here at Rewritten, we like to bend the rules! We'd recommend still keeping in mind the colour theme of the wedding and what colour the bridesmaids are wearing. You could go for a different shade of the colour, or mix it up and go for a bold contrast (we do love a mix & match!)

We design dresses for modern bridesmaids, so why not opt for a modern Mother of the bride dress too. Depending on your personal preference, you may want to go for the classic cap sleeve column dress which is always a winner, but we think you Mums out there could rock some of our more contemporary styles!

Florence Wrap Dress

The Florence dress is an ankle length, v neck wrap dress with floaty sleeves and a tie waist. Comfortable yet chic!

Soho Jumpsuit

Who said the Mother of the bride has to wear a dress? Our Soho Jumpsuit is the perfect alternative if you prefer trousers or something a bit warmer for a Winter wedding.

Seville Dress

The Seville dress has a full skirt - perfect for the dance floor. With sweeping shoulder ties and a small train, you'll be sure to make a statement.
