Refund policy



We don't offer exchanges and so recommend that you return your items to us and re-order the correct size/style/colour separately.


We offer a free 21 day refund policy (UK mainland only) which starts from the day you receive your order.

For returns outside of the UK, the same 21 day window applies and postage costs and any duties are to be covered by the customer.  Please ship to Rewritten c/o Torque, Wortley Moor Road, Leeds, LS12 4JH, UK.

Made-to-order styles are non-returnable so we advise trying these on with one of our stockists or in our showroom before buying online*. 

Items must be unworn and in their original condition with all original tags attached. Bridal dresses must be tried indoors with the gloves and fabric provided and no returns with make-up or marks on the dresses will be accepted.

Please complete the returns form included inside your order, making sure to include your order number and name - returns without this information will not be processed. Please email us before the 21 days or you will not be eligible for a return. If you don't have a returns form in your order you can download one here.

We cannot accept items outside of this return window or items with their tags removed or that appear visibly worn. 

Once we receive your return, it can take up to 10 days for your refund to be processed.

Sample sale items cannot be refunded.

*Our Seville, Berlin, Children's Vienna, Ivory bridesmaids styles and select colours in the Soho jumpsuit, Vienna, Ibiza and Brooklyn are non-refundable as these are made-to-order styles. We advise that you try these styles in-store before buying. Once you have placed your order for a made-to-order style you have a 48 hour grace period in which to cancel the order. If you do not then they will be made in our London workshop and the order cannot be cancelled or refunded under any circumstances.
