What is your returns policy?

When purchasing from a stockist am I entitled to the same returns policy that Rewritten offers directly?

Unfortunately not ladies. When purchasing a Rewritten dress via one of our beloved stockists or through Harper via Rewritten Room Service, they are non refundable unless faulty but exchanges may be possible.  Please get in touch directly with the store you bought your dress from to discuss any returns/exchange queries you may have.

 

How can I exchange for another style/colour/size?

We like to make things as easy and painfree as possible (aren’t weddings stressful enough?!) and so we can exchange items for alternative sizes, colours or styles subject to stock availability. All exchanged items must be unworn and with all labels still intact – don’t think we won’t notice if you wear it on a night out first. Email Orders@WeAreRewritten.com to request an exchange or fill in the returns form that arrived with your order. Made-to-order pieces can’t be exchanged.

 

I’ve just realised I need my dresses shipped to a different address – what do I do?

Don’t sweat it! As long as your order has not already left us we will be able to change your shipping address. Email Orders@WeAreRewritten.com to request a change of delivery address.

 

I’ve already placed my order, but would like to add something else on. Is this possible?

Of course! Email us on Orders@WeAreRewritten.com as soon as possible and we can see if we have your additional item in stock.

 

How long will my order take?

If you have ordered a ‘made-to-order’ piece, your order will take 10-12 weeks. If you have ordered a ‘Buy It Now’ piece and we have it in stock, your order should take 3-5 working days to any UK mainland address. If your ‘In Stock’ dress is out of stock (ironically it does happen) and is available only to buy on backorder then your dress could take up to 12 weeks to arrive. What should I do if I receive a faulty item?

Oh deary me. We pride ourselves on our quality and check every dress ourselves before shipping it out to you so firstly. However, if you do receive a faulty item, please let us know immediately via email or phone and we will get a new dress sent out as soon as possible.

 

What’s the difference between Made to Order and In Stock collections?

Confusing we know. Made-to-Order dresses do what they say on the tin and are made in our London workshop after you place your order, this is why they take 10-12 weeks due to the time it takes to handcraft our styles. Our In Stock dresses are kept in stock at all times at Rewritten HQ in London which is why these can be bought via next day or standard delivery if they are in stock.

 

How often do you replenish your stock?

We place new orders every 4-6 weeks with our workshops.

 

Can I order swatches of the colours and fabrics I’m interested in?

Sure! We are happy to send you swatches of any colour or fabric you’re interested in. Just select which ones you would like here and check out with your address details and we will pop them in the post for you (we send out swatches weekly), free of charge. Because we are nice like that.

 

Can I order extra fabric?

Yes you absolutely can, please contact us on Orders@WeAreRewritten.com with details of which colour, fabric and how much you require and we will send you a personalised quote.

 

Sizing, fit and style

 

One of my bridesmaids has just found out she’s pregnant – what do I do?

We’ve all been there and understand the panic that sets in when you find out one of your best girls is pregnant. Luckily we get this a lot, so much so we have even written a blog post about it- check it out here.

 

Do you offer alterations?

We do not offer an in house alterations service but are more than happy to recommend a list of trusted seamstresses in the Greater London area. Drop us an email on Hello@WeAreRewritten.com for a full list.

 

One of my bridesmaids is super tall, do you offer extra length dresses?

We can make extra length dresses across all collections for an additional £50 per dress, this can be added on at checkout here. Just make sure to pop in the notes section at checkout which dress you want to be extra length and by how much.

 

Do you make children’s bridesmaid dresses?

We do indeed! Our bestselling Vienna dress is now available in ages 5-7, 8-10 and 11-13 across all colours. It isn’t live on our website yet but the samples are available to try on in our Hackney studio. We also sell sashes across all of our colours which are just perfect teamed with a white dress for those cute little flower girls.

 

My dress has arrived and it’s creased – what do I do?

We do press everything before shipping but try as we might to stop it, they can move around in transit. Our dresses can be steamed using a hand steamer, a good selection of which are available to buy online from £20. Alternatively, our dresses can be ironed on a low heat, but make sure you put a cloth between the dress and the iron just to be safe – no-one wants an iron hole in a bridesmaids dress.

 

Is there colour variation between dresses?

We dye all of our fabric to our colour specifications and there is a small chance that the colour will vary slightly from different dye lots. Rest assured, we always try to colour match as closely as we can.

 

What fabric are the dresses made from?

The majority of our dresses are made from a polyester fibre crepe de chine which feels just flipping amazing to wear and has a beautiful weight and movement.

 

How do I tie my wrap dress?

There is a cheeky little hole in the side of your dress, which you can thread one of the waist ties through and wrap around to tie with the opposite waist tie in a bow.

 

What’s the best way to tie a sash?

Your sash can be tied in a couple of ways – either double around the body by placing the centre seam of the sash at the centre front of your dress or jumpsuit and wrapping around the body once, finishing with a knot at the side front; or single wrapped round and finished in a bow at the side front or centre back.

 

Appointments and trying on

 

Where can my bridesmaids try on your dresses?

You can find a list of stockists as well as information on how to book in to see us at our London showroom here. Our Hackney showroom is by appointment only and our appointments are all sorts of brilliant fun.

 

Will I be charged for an appointment?

We charge £15 for 1 hour appointments and £20 for 1.5 hour appointments. You have exclusive use of the showroom and drinks are provided. You can even let us know in advance what kind of music you would like to listen to, how nice is that?

 

What should I bring to an appointment?

We recommend your bridesmaids come prepared with appropriate underwear, a strapless bra, some heeled shoes and their best smiles. If they forget heels then we do have some in our showroom that you can try.

 

How long are the appointments?

For up to 4 bridesmaids we offer hour long appointments, for 5 plus it is an hour and a half. We don’t have an indoor waiting area and our appointments are back-to-back so please try to arrive at the correct time, if you arrive early there is nowhere to wait inside!

 

What sizes do you have to try on at the showroom?

We have samples of every style in every size ranging from an 8-26. We also have samples of each of our eleven colours but we don’t have every style available in every colour and size to try, if we did we would have over 550 dresses on our rail!

 

How far in advance should I book my appointment?

We advise booking your Saturday appointment 2-3 months in advance and late night appointments 1 month in advance to avoid disappointment.

 

The day I want to book for isn’t available in the online calendar, why?

If the day you would like to book for is greyed out and you can’t click on it then I am afraid it means we are fully booked and have no availability. If you live within the M25 then you could book a Rewritten Room Service appointment instead here.

Other info

 

I want to wear my dress again and again! What are your care recommendations?

You can machine wash our entire collection on a low 30 degree wash. Store your dress hanging to avoid creases, steam instead of iron where possible and keep away from sharp objects to avoid snagging the fabric. Also, have you ever thought about hemming your dress to a midi to make it more wearable?

Where are the dresses made?

All of our collection is hand designed by co-founder Fran and sampled here in London. Our collection is crafted in both our London and Asian workshops.
