The faces behind Rewritten
FRANCES – CO-FOUNDER
Fran’s (Frances is way too formal) official role is to design the Rewritten collections from start to finish; making tough decisions on styles, colours and fabrics, keeping on trend but also rewriting the rules, and making sure both our bridal and bridesmaids collections are the best of the best.
A Fashion Design Graduate from Edinburgh College of Art, Fran then spent ten years working in Communications for brands such as NET-A-PORTER before founding Rewritten with Katie.
Fran has a love of 90’s dance music, Marvel films, running, chips, dogs, interior design and neutral colours. If it wasn’t for Katie, the entire Rewritten collection would be available in shades of black, beige and grey.
KATIE – CO-FOUNDER
Co-founder Katie is the brains behind Rewritten, managing the serious bits like finance, wholesale, operations and generally being the (slightly) more sensible one out of the two founders.
Katie is a business whizz and cut her teeth in the retail industry working for fine jewellery business Astley Clarke where she managed all retail channels for the brand.
Katie loves a project and has recently taken on a home renovation, along with juggling new baby and Rewrittens youngest team member, Freddie. When not building a house, managing finances and logistics, or looking after Freddie, Katie can be found eating Yaki Soba, demolishing a chocolate bar or at a hardcore boxing class. She is obsessed with Japanese culture.
ANAHITA – HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Ana joined the Rewritten team in May 2017 and quickly became part of the gang. With a background in fine jewellery, Ana once worked with Katie and Fran at Astley Clarke (and therefore knew she could put up with them both). Ana looks after all of our glorious customers and is known for being able to tackle even the most last minute of wedding panics.
A jewellery nerd at heart, her obsession with cats could be classed as borderline weird and only rivalled by her love for crisps, velvet jumpsuits and flower arranging.
CHRISTINA - SHOWROOM MANAGER & CUSTOMER CARE
With a background in fashion retail and customer service, Christina is your girl when it comes to all things wedding. If you've chatted to us via email, its more than likely you've spoken with the amazing Christina. Always here to help and answer queries, advising what dress would be best suited to you or finding emergency dresses!
When Christina isn’t in the showroom drinking copious amounts of coffee, answering customer service questions, she loves trying new foods, if its cooking at home or out in the London restaurants, dancing around to 90s garage and RnB and drinking a classic Gin & Tonic (or two!).
ELLA - MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA
If you're talking to us on social media or emailing about something marketing related, Ella will always be on hand to answer your questions. When not managing our social media accounts, Ella can be found organising photoshoots & collaborations, having coffee with press & influencers , at wedding fairs, or writing blogs on anything new to the wedding world.
When away from the office, Ella loves a city break - exploring the world, trying new food, walking for hours down streets full of culture & drinking wine.
Good Evening,
My partner and I will be getting married in 2025, and we are looking for bridesmaids dresses that will work for all of our bridal party and from reading though your page I’m really hopeful you might be able to help.
We’re an LGBT couple so firstly I would like to check that you would be able to support us for our wedding?
And if so, second of all, we will both have a plus size member on our wedding party. We would love to be able to get our whole party a dress from the same shop but this is something we’re finding very difficult, my sister is size 26-28 and one of our closest friends is 30+, we would need to get their measurements but before we did we’d love to know if this is something you’d be able to do for us bespoke?
Thank you so much for your time in this! Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully working with you over the next year or so!
