Rewritten have teamed up with British artist Rose England to create a capsule collection of eco-conscious printed bridesmaids nightwear.

Based in East London close to Rewritten HQ, Rose England is a renowned artist, illustrator and print designer whose playful prints centre around elements from nature, with a particular focus on her greatest love and fascination: flowers.

Read on to find out more about the ideas behind the collection and the process of the "Fiorello"print, designed by Rose England exclusively for Rewritten.

"We just love the idea of our brides and bridesmaids getting ready on the big day wearing Rewritten, not only that but we have been desperate to work with our friend and fellow creative Rose for ages; We designed the limited edition collection with Rose's print in mind and are beyond excited with the results, personally we can't wait to wear the whole collection this spring/summer."

"When you reached out for a collaboration, I thought it would be amazing! Your expertise on fabric and style and my abstract prints - it was a no brainer really!"

To celebrate the launch of the collection, we did a little Q&A with Rose;

What inspires you and your painting?

I find inspiration for my paintings all around me - it could be something really small like the colour combinations on a coffee cup, or the pattern on a bowl or plate in a shop window, but mainly the bulk of my inspiration comes from my favourite love and fascination - flowers.

How did you start creating the print?

I wanted to create a print of bright and beautiful flowers - a print you can wear and feel elevated in, not just your usual pyjama or robe - something big, bold and abstract.

I wanted the colours in the print to feel bright and optimistic. I really like the colours in the Rewritten collection so used this colour palette as my starting point. I love how much the colours compliment each other and how rich they look on the beautiful silky fabric.

Whilst Rose worked on creating the print, Fran, Rewritten's co-founder, worked on designing the styles.

"The design process of any Rewritten piece happens in the same way. I always start by hand sketching loads of designs, which I then review with Katie before involving the rest of the team to get their thoughts. Once we have whittled it down we get to work on sampling and selecting fabrics - choosing the right fabric is such an important element of the design process and for this collection we chose an eco-conscious fabric containing 45% recycled rayon and 55% viscose. Most of our collection is made up of bold block colours, so working with a floral print was something really fun and unique for us!" The collection features a cami pyjama set and robe that are designed to be worn together. With sustainability in mind, we wanted to use as much as the fabric as possible which is why we decided to add two accessories into the collection - the eye mask and hair scrunchie, both of which are made from offcuts to minimise fabric waste.
