MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

Rewritten London Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within all parts of our business and supply chain. This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Rewritten is an independent retailer working with suppliers and manufacturers across the globe.

When entering into any new business relationships, guidelines and policies are shared with prospective suppliers. Background checks are carried out on manufacturers to ensure our high ethical and professional standards are met.

We expect suppliers to hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.

We do not enter into business with any organisation, in the UK or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

The production department is responsible for implementing anti-slavery initiatives with and managing the supply chain.

We take steps such as risk assessments and audits to ensure that we are happy with any prospective and current suppliers.

  1. Risk assess all new suppliers using the Global Slavery Index and ask them to certify that they have taken steps to eradicate modern slavery within their own organisation and supply chain.
  2. Notify all existing suppliers of our expectations and their obligations in relation to the prohibition of modern slavery.
  3. Ensure a modern slavery clause is included in all supplier contracts.

Our Modern Slavery policy applies to all Rewritten employees, who have an obligation to help in the identification and prevention of modern slavery.
